Ian's Thoughts on UK Recorded Music Copyright Legislation

Under current UK law, the intellectual property protection of lots of recorded classic rock will soon be gone ("This Was" in just 12 years, some of The Beatles in 6). The UK offers far less protection than international standards. Ian discusses the serious ramifications for many financially strapped artists, and reducing the opportunities for today's new, innovative artists, and the health of the British recording industry.

Dave Pegg New Box Set and Birthday Concert Bash

Former Tull long-time bassist, Dave Pegg, and key member of Fairport Convention will be releasing a 4 CD box set in July. On November 3rd, he will have a special 60th birthday concert including Fairport Convention with visits from Ian and Martin.

Rolling Stones' Rock and Roll Circus DVD CoverIn late 1968, the Rolling Stones' filmed various famed and new acts around a circus theme, with the novel Jethro Tull as the opening act. Now, more than 35 years later, this legendary film has finally been released. Mark Craney Passes

Mark CraneyIt is with great sadness that all of us with Tull, players, staff, and fans, mourn the passing of Mark Craney, ex-Tull drummer and long-time friend. Mark had been ill for many years fighting with an on-going kidney ailment, transplant rejections, stroke paralysis and associated medical problems.

The Wildlife AlbumIan on New Wildlife Charity Disc

Three Song Christmas EP from UK

The Wildlife AlbumTull announces a new EP for your holiday season from RandM Records. Songs include "Ring Out Solistice Bells," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," and "Slipstream." The last two are previously unreleased live performances from the 2004 tour. The first comes from last year's Christmas album. Hurry, sales are limited to 2,500 copies.

Tribute to Scott Muni: Legendary DJ

XM Satellite RadioHear Ian's tribute to the late Scott Muni, an authoritative voice on album-oriented rock for New York radio stations since the 1960s. He was one of the first to play Led Zeppelin, was an early supporter of Bruce Springsteen's career and always carried a torch for The Beatles. He was, for Tull, one of the first American DJ's to interview Ian.

"A," "Bursting Out," "Stormwatch" now released in USA

album coversThe next batch of remastered Tull classics are in UK stores and hit the USA in April 2004. "Bursting Out" now includes the entire original vinyl track list and "A" even includes a DVD quality copy of the "Slipstream" video. "Stormwatch," Tull's dark, political classic focusing on environmental concerns, adds bonus tracks and marks the end of the group's "folk rock" period of the late 1970's.
